  • Responsibilities

    The Registered Nursing Instructor facilitates learning, fosters learner development and socialization, and employs evidence-based assessment and evaluation strategies. This role includes participating in curriculum design and evaluating program outcomes, acting as a change agent and leader, and pursuing continuous quality improvements. Additionally, the Nurse Educator engages in scholarship and operates effectively within the educational environment.

    Qualifications

    All academic instructional staff members should hold a master's degree in the field in which they teach or a bachelor's degree in the field in which they teach and documented experience in that discipline, which may be deemed equivalent to a master's degree by the selection committee in that discipline and/or by the administration.

    ASNP Qualifications

    • Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and commit to obtaining a master’s degree in nursing or a related field within three years of hire. A Master of Science in nursing is preferred.
    • A current and unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Idaho is required.
    • Candidates must possess the emotional and physical health necessary to participate fully in theoretical and clinical educational environments.

    Responsibilities

    • Adhere to policies and procedures required of CSI faculty.
    • Instructional duties may include theory, lab, simulation, and clinical.
    • Create course materials and deliver instruction based on best practices in nursing education and following current curriculum. • Evaluate student performance using varied evaluation methods and maintain accurate and confidential student records.
    • Remediate students as needed.
    • Work collaboratively with other faculty to maintain the program's quality and meet accreditation requirements.
    • Adhere to ASNP policies.
    • Attend and participate in course meetings as scheduled or maintain currency through program meeting minutes if unable to attend.

    • Participate in the annual self and peer evaluation.
    • Participate in professional development activities.
    • Participate in ongoing program assessment.
    • Maintain professional and collegial relationships within the College and healthcare communities.
    • Adhere to the Rules of the Idaho Board of Nursing.
    • Ensure ASNP Faculty file is complete: official academic transcripts, current unencumbered Idaho registered nursing license, immunization history, annual TB screening, current BLS certification, annual flu vaccine, annual Curriculum Vitae/Resume with continuing education, and drug screens upon hire and as needed
    • Maintain flexibility in schedule.
    • Provide Student (Office) Hours for student drop-ins.

  • Qualifications
    • Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations; and a commitment to adhere to all policies, rules, and regulations of the NCAA and ASUN Conference as required
    • Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, alumni, program boosters, the public, and administrative staff
    • Ability to recruit, coach, and teach a wide skill range of athletes the fundamentals and theories of baseball
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to cultivate and build relationships with donors and alumni
    • Detail oriented
    • Requires physically strenuous work and physical exercise daily including but not limited to standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting for long periods
