THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our finance and analytics team in Santa Monica, CA.  The Financial Analyst will use exceptional data analysis skills to gather, analyze, synthesize, and present essential information that delivers insights, drives tactics, maximizes efficiencies, and meets business objectives.  This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Provide accurate and timely sales analysis utilizing excellent SQL skills
• Prepare cost analyses by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
• Improve financial reporting and decision-making by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to senior management
• Build dashboards and reports in Tableau to share metrics and insights with all internal teams
• Help build and improve tools and processes that produce ongoing insights for our business
• Build and maintain company financial models to support planning and forecasting
• Work cross-functionally with the technology, sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather needed information and determine analytical needs
• Work with marketing team to set up testing and provide analysis on marketing campaigns

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IS HIGHLY ANALYTICAL, TENACIOUS, AND MOTIVATED BY PROBLEM SOLVING.

REQUIREMENTS & SPECIFICATIONS:

• Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong SQL and Excel skills required
• Prior experience with visualization tools such as Tableau (preferred) or Looker
• Self-starter able to complete projects and analysis independently while balancing multiple priorities
• Strong communicator and team member. Able to work cross-functionally
• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Accounting/Business or a related/quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Math)
