Revolution Prep seeks to hire college students or graduates with proficiency in math up through the level of Algebra 2 to teach ACT prep courses. Classes will be held at Boston University (871 Commonwealth Ave; Boston) from Saturday, December 3rd through Saturday, April 22nd (see below for specific dates and times). Revolution Prep will provide paid training and supply all materials for the courses. 

You will be a great fit for this position if you are enthusiastic, communicative, and relatable. 

This temporary position could transition into a part- or full-time permanent on-line or hybrid tutoring position if interested. 

COMPENSATION 

Job Type: Temporary 

Pay: $30/hour for instruction (including exam proctoring), $15 travel stipend per class day, $15/hour for prep time 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Complete paid pre-work and training prior to the beginning of the courses 
• Review lessons in advance of each class 
• Deliver exceptional instruction to a group of 20 motivated high school students using Revolution Prep's curriculum 
• Represent Revolution Prep with the highest level of professionalism at all times

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Completion of a high school diploma and some college coursework 

• Previous tutoring or teaching experience and familiarity with classroom management preferred but not required 

• Previous experience tutoring or teaching SAT/ACT test prep is a plus

• Authorized to work in the United States (current residence must be within 25 miles of Boston University)

• MUST BE AVAILABLE TO TEACH THE FOLLOWING IN-PERSON SESSION TIMES (NOTE: ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN TIME ZONE): 

• ACT Exam Proctoring: 9:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on January 28th & March 25th  

• ACT Class: 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. on the following Saturdays:  

• October 1st, 22nd, and 29th  

• November 5th and 12th 

• December 3rd and 10th  

• January 7th and 21st  

• February 4th, 11th, and 25th  

• March 4th, 11th, and 18th  

• April 1st and 22nd
