JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Surgical Services, the Orderly is responsible for support services as well as specific elements of direct patient care given in the Surgical Department. The surgical services technician assists with organization and communication with the surgical representatives, surgery flow (turnover of surgical suites), assures that adequate supplies are available as needed, cleaning, trash disposal, transporting patients and any other duties assigned by his/her Lead or the Director of Surgical Services.

Required Skills

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED required
• BLS (CPR) certification required
• Hospital experience preferred
• Ability to take instruction well from multiple professionals
• Ability to maintain quality, safety and/or infection control standards.
