Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Budget Analyst II for the Office of Finance & Administration for the Office of Information Technology. This position is responsible for conducting financial analysis, projects, and statistical studies. The Budget Analyst II assists with long and short term planning and assists with fiscal projection and analysis of project spending. This position develops and analyzes fiscal data and also monitors project expenditures and documents anticipated cost savings. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Maintains financial records and monitors and facilitates financial transactions. Helps design administrative and financial tracking systems for telecom and data system upgrades. Analyzes costing, post implementation of new systems, determines if savings have been achieved and maintains project financial milestones. Ensures expenditures are in accordance with the allocation of funds and project budgets. Oversees payment of salaries and invoices by accounts payable, ensures that accounts have necessary funds and tracks and follows up on payments. Aids in establishing legal financial agreements. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of spreadsheet applications, purchasing and telecom billing.
