  • Responsibilities

    Responsible for day-to-day management of Residence Life's central administrative office. Work closely with the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Residence Life, the Senior Associate Director, Associate Director of Residence Life for Student Development, Administration, the Associate Director of Staff Development and the Fiscal & Operations Administrator on myriad projects. Maintain a variety of reports, correspondences, and databases, some confidential in nature. Schedule appointments, maintain files, and order supplies. Develop office procedures and a program of training for student employees. Assist in the design, development and implementation of internal systems and procedures. Field calls, electronic communication, walk-in inquiries, and problems from students, parents, faculty, staff and other stakeholders. Responsible for meeting many of the administrative-level goals of the department and basic needs of students living in University housing. Support other offices (e.g., BU Housing and Facilities Management) by collecting, managing, processing and supplying relevant data.

    Required Skills

    High school diploma, BA/BS preferred, and three to five years of related experience.
