SENIOR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, Enrollment, Undergraduate Admissions
About the Role Boston University Admissions seeks a Senior Assistant Director. This role primary responsibility is to provide supervision and leadership to a regional team of Assistant Directors. The role manages all selection- and scholarship-related work of their team members, assigns and evaluates projects, and provides guidance on the management of their travel regions as they build a strong and diverse applicant pool from their region. This Senior Assistant Director will also work closely with the Associate Director of Systems & Operations to ensure the sound integration and efficient functioning of Admissions systems, as well as broad access to those systems. In addition, the Senior Assistant Director will manage the Kilachand Honors College selection process. Finally, this role helps to manage the admissions selection process of 75,000 first-year and 6,000 transfer applications. The person in this position is expected commit to issues of diversity, equity and inclusion and their impact the college search and application process. This role supervises a team of 2-4 Assistant Directors. The person in this position will be expected to manage a regional territory and travel for approximately 5-7 weeks during the year. Evening and weekend work is expected during the busiest parts of the reading and recruitment cycles. The Senior Assistant Director works closely with staff throughout Enrollment & Student Administration in cross-functional work. It also partners with the Kilachand Honors College for updates to the selection process for that program. This role reports to the Associate Director of Admissions.

About the Candidate A bachelor's degree is required for this position. A valid driver's license is also required. We are seeking a candidate who has 3-5 years of directly related experience with 2+ years of management experience. Strong public speaking skills are essential.
