Boston University seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Staffing Specialist to support the attraction and hiring of top talent across the University. This role plays a key part in delivering a high-quality, consistent candidate experience while ensuring recruitment processes are executed with accuracy, efficiency, and integrity.
The Staffing Specialist partners closely with hiring managers and Talent Operations to support key stages of the hiring process. Responsibilities include candidate screening, coordinating and advancing candidates through the process, supporting hiring decisions, facilitating offer development, and initiating onboarding activities. This role also monitors recruitment activity across assigned departments to ensure timely progression, adherence to established processes, and clear communication throughout.
Working collaboratively across Talent Recruitment Services, this role contributes to the continuous improvement of recruitment operations, strengthening hiring practices, enhancing the candidate experience, and supporting the University’s commitment to building a diverse and high-performing workforce.
Required Skills
3–5 years of professional experience in recruitment, staffing, or related HR functions, with at least 1–2 years supporting hiring processes. A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience is required.
