STEM Instructors bring experience and impact to our students. They are responsible for providing the best experience possible for all participants of the program through facilitation of educational curricula. STEM Instructors help shape the experience for the students. The Instructor must be able to interact with and engage with students and to provide for their safety and well-being.

As a STEM Instructor, you should expect to work hard. Very hard. There will always be more to do than can be accomplished in a day, but you will be part of a great team and together you will get it all done. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare for the program through self-study and review of curriculum

• Prepare and deliver Envision Curriculum to students

• Create and manage a stimulating educational environment which is conducive to students learning

• Be knowledgeable of all policies and procedures and assist with in their enforcement, including appropriate student conduct and dress code

• Facilitate small and large group meetings (lead interactive discussions, briefings, debriefings, simulations, and follow pre-designed lesson plans, etc.)

• Be responsible for the dissemination of the educational content of the program

• Be responsible for providing the best experience possible for all program participants

• Prepare the students for each day’s activities

• Provide and excellent customer experience to parents and students

• Efficiently manage the safe transportation of students on-site and off-site

• Assist support staff with program logistics as needed

• At least a rising Junior in college (recent graduates are welcome to apply)

• Experience working with students

• Experience working at residential summer camp

• The ability to serve as an ambassador of Envision, demonstrating our mission and dedication to impacting student lives

• Take initiative to solve problems

-Serve as a positive leader, mentor and role model for all participants

• Be open to feedback and have a desire to grow professionally

• Ability to work collaboratively on a high-functioning team

• Ability to maintain an excellent work ethic, a high level of enthusiasm all day, every day.
