The successful candidate will teach online and face-to-face courses in Texas Government and American Government. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching online and who can also teach an upper-level course in their field of specialization. The Department also welcomes political science scholars from any field of specialization to apply. The teaching load for the position is four courses in both the fall and spring semesters. Summer courses are not included in the teaching load. Educational Requirements for the Position Applicants must have a M.A. or PhD in political science in-hand at time of hire from an accredited university or institution of higher-education. Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD. Applicants must also demonstrate that they have completed graduate coursework in their area of specialization. Experience Required for the Position One year of part-time or full-time teaching experience at the community college or university level; experience and/or willingness to teach online courses.
