    Internships - Moran Law Firm (Fresno) The Moran Law Firm is seeking passionate individuals who may be interested in a future in Criminal Defense. Specifically, two internship positionswith the potential to become permanent paid positionsare available. One position will focus primarily on post-conviction complex Writs and Appeals; while the other position will primarily focus on assisting for criminal trial practice. Hours and financial compensation are negotiable based on interest and experience. The Moran Law Firm is in pursuit of being the premier criminal legal defense team in the Central Valley. The firm values of integrity and affordability ensure success through a multitude of cases ranging from simple misdemeanors to complex felony cases. The culture of the firm is to work collectively, as a team. This dynamic will afford applicants the opportunity to seek assistance from multiple sources, and to actively participate in all stages of the proceedings. For the area of Writs and Appeals: This applicant will be given the opportunity to do legal research and writing attributed to complex Appeals and Writs. This applicant will work closely with the supervising attorney regarding framing the issues, structuring the arguments, and composing the completed work. Certified applicants will have the opportunity to attach their name to the submitted work. Hours are flexible and negotiable. For the area of assisting for Criminal Trial Practice: This applicant will pick one of our upcoming trials to work on with the Attorney of Record. In this position, the applicant will be afforded the opportunity to research and draft motions for trial, such as in limine motions. The applicant will work closely with the defense team in drafting questions for the jury and for examination of witnesses. The applicant will also partake in the jury selection process and assist Counsel throughout the defense of the case. Certified applicants will be given the opportunity to argue their motions in Court, under the supervision of Attorney Amanda Moran. Additionally: Our firm is offering interested individuals the opportunity to gain experience by shadowing. This will give the interested individual the opportunity to attend Court and assist the attorneys in client consultations.
