The Scholar Experience Team is responsible for the total customer experience, be it logistical implementation to being available for any student or other customer that needs individual attention. Work may include: working behind the scenes to ensure that all events events run smoothly, administrative tasks such as filing paperwork and sorting program materials, interacting with and supervising students, overnight student individual attention for any reason, communicating with families, vendors and key contacts, overseeing a program’s in-field social media initiatives, being responsible for program equipment (cars, communication equipment) and monies, as well as other responsibilities. This position requires physical activity, including heavy lifting and walking/being on one's feet for long periods of time.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide a high level of customer service
Monitor the safety and whereabouts of students at all times
Be knowledgeable of all policies and procedures and assist in their enforcement, including student conduct and dress code
Work with parents and students regarding any concerns including medical issues, homesickness and special needs while at the program according to policy guidelines, with the guidance of program management
Interact with parents and students in a customer service-friendly manner
Identify and solve any logistical problems that arise in a quick, efficient, and professional manner
Manage safe and efficient transportation of students and staff during program utilizing program vehicles.
Advance the location of program events to ensure proper set up and the logistical success of the event
Prepare all group meeting rooms and deliver organized program materials according to curricular needs
Follow accounting procedures for petty cash expenses
Alternate with other Scholar Relations team members to lead activities during recreation time
Assist with on-site set up and take down at the end of each session as well as at the end of the cycle
Restock supplies when needed
Attend daily staff meeting
Work closely, cooperatively and amicably with all staff members
Attend to personal needs of students for the entire conference on an “on-call” basis
Provide nighttime program support on a rotating basis
Facilitate check-out and visitation for students and visitors when necessary
Perform other duties as determined by the program leadership
At least a Junior in college (recent graduates are welcome to apply)
