Job Description

Summary of Position

Assists the Head Coach with the women's hockey program, including coaching and training, student-athlete retention, advising, mentoring and recruiting prospective student-athletes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Instruct student-athletes on physical health, team concepts, safety, and sport-specific skills on both an individual and team basis
• Teach, advise and mentor student-athletes on life-skills.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting prospective student-athletes according to the program recruiting plan.
• Assist with maintaining acceptable student-athlete retention rates to the team and/or institution
• All other duties as apparent or assigned by supervisor(s).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of playing/coaching experience required, recruiting experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Additional Information

Compensation

• This position will be paid a stipend of $3,000, paid over fourteen (14) pay periods.
