Secondary Math/Science Teacher Resident (Education Major Not Required)
Residency Candidates are responsible for successful completion of the 14 month program
Degree in or equivalent content knowledge:
Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, technology, or equivalent content knowledge
Biology, chemistry, biochemistry, environmental, physics, or other STEM related field
Be a US citizen or permanent resident
Have a cumulative 2.75 GPA from your undergraduate degree (3.0 Preferred)
Be prepared to make a four-year commitment as a full time teacher for Hamilton County Schools after the residency year
14 month graduate degree program, specifically designed for teacher residents who will be teaching in Hamilton County Schools.
Includes an Master's of Arts in Teaching from Lee University, plus an embedded clinical apprenticeship with a highly effective mentor teacher.
At the end of the residency year, graduates also obtain a teaching license.
