    Job Description

    Manages timekeeping processes and trains users on proper time entry and approval. Uses SQL and other reporting tools to extract data for HR processes. Evaluates, analyzes, administers and maintains Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Continuously analyzes, reengineers and streamlines cross-functional processes and workflow. Collaborates with vendors and users to provide problem-solving, system & business analysis and technology driven solutions with a customer service concentration.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Coordinates the administration of various Human Resource Information Systems including Banner HR, time and Attendance, Xtender document imaging, and Cognos. Serves as main point of contact for timekeeping, including data feeds, customer questions and payroll records. Partners with University IT Services to develop program code and improve HRIS processes through automation. Examples include benefits vendor interface files, Appworx processes and the online Tuition Remission Application. Works with IT on interfaces between various systems – for example, Banner to timesheets, org charts, and Applicant Tracking. Coordinates reports with Sr. HRIS Analyst to ensure best use of the available technology. Reports HR and Payroll information to HR management and the University community by using various reporting tools such as Cognos, SQL Developer and MS Excel. Documents and uses standard reports, and creates custom SQL reports. Completes website updates, maintains integrity and accuracy of data in Banner and related HR systems. Implementation initiatives include configuration, specifications, testing, documentation, and business and system analysis. As a member of the HRIS team, completes payroll audits and processing for payment. Serve as back up for HR data entry. Assists with various HR projects, as needed.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    High School diploma or GED; 1-3 years of professional IT or HR experience. SQL, Oracle, HR systems experience.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources or related field; IT certification preferred
