    Job Description

    Sprint Specialist, Staffing (P3, Schooling, Sprint)

We now need a results-driven Specialist to join our Sprint team.

    Success Academies has a profoundly innovative schooling model that achieves outstanding results at scale, and our approach to children with the highest educational needs is just as radical. We begin with the core belief that disability does not mean an inability, that no child should be written off because of learning challenges. Fifteen percent of our scholars receive special education support, and we designed and launched the Sprint program to ensure we provide these most vulnerable scholars an outstanding education. While the identification of scholars demonstrating a need for special education services and execution of the necessary interventions and supports are carried out at the school-level, a supporting Network capability has shared responsibility and accountability for supporting our scholars.

    Reporting into the Lead of Sprint, Process and Performance Management, the Specialist of Sprint will be responsible for maintaining Sprint staffing across the year, owning interviewing and placing candidates in schools, liaising with SA partners to ensure smooth onboarding to SA, managing the performance evaluation process, and managing Sprint staff transfers to support school Sprint health and Sprint staff growth and development.

    The Sprint Process and Performance Management team leads critical Sprint initiatives, including Sprint staffing, Sprint training and development, school support of high needs cases, and school Sprint performance management to ensure that school Sprint teams operate on a high level and successfully support scholars. The team also serves as a thought partner and resource to Instructional Services, Advisory, HCSS, TA, Schooling Talent Management, and EI for all departmental crossover that involves Network or School Sprint.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • End to end ownership of the Sprint staffing process including:

      • Interviewing and approving candidate offers

      • Determining appropriate placement locations

      • Liaising with network partners to manage new hire process

      • Collaborating with network partners to support Sprint onboarding & new hire training

      • Sprint performance management, including managing beginning, middle, and end of year review process, and supporting with ongoing performance concerns

      • Managing School Sprint staffing support (transfers, Sprint team development)

    • School Sprint management against key metrics and KPIs, including identifying outlier schools and developing/implementing support and accountability measures

    • Sprint training and development as needed on general Sprint role topics

    • School Sprint support as needed with high-needs cases

    A successful applicant will have the following experiences and education:

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in field of education

    • Minimum of 1 year managing other people, including giving role/performance feedback

    • Excellent written skills

    • Extremely detail-oriented

    • Fluency with Google Suite/Microsoft Office including Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, and able to easily create clear/useful spreadsheets/trackers

    • Understanding of student information systems and other educational technologies

    Preferred Qualifications & Traits

    • Experience with special education systems within New York City preferred

    • Experience with root-cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies

    • Experience interviewing and staffing positions

    Compensation Range

    Annual Salary: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00
