Job Description: GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES : The Business Office at Springfield Technical Community College is seeking a part-time Office Clerk to support Business Services by providing clerical assistance, data entry, and data tracking, and verifying invoices. REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Business Services Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: RESPONSIBILITIES: Processing travel requisitions Verification of certain larger, campus-wide invoices Approving and processing certain purchases. Assist with purchasing questions and provide purchasing and requisition assistance to campus. Data entry to create reports for the Business Office. Maintenance and updating Excel spreadsheets Provide exceptional customer service to all employees. Comply with applicable government regulations. Perform other projects/tasks as assigned. Requirements: Associates degree with a concentration in Business, or Accounting required. 1-2 years previous business office experience strongly preferred. Experience in a higher education setting preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills along with interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to follow processes and policy rules once established. Ability to adapt to process changes and follow-through with deadlines and tasks. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Ability to work effectively with a diverse population. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates. Must be flexible and willing to take on a multitude of tasks. Ability to safely operate office equipment including copier, scanner, printers and computers. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate. Occasionally required to sit and stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop; kneel; or crouch. Ability to occasionally lift 25 lbs. Additional Information: SALARY: $15.00 per hour BENEFITS: No WORK SCHEDULE: Part-Time; 18.5 hours per week. The scheduling is flexible but needs to be consistent each week.
