Supply Chain Summer Internship Operations (Logistics/Supply Chain) San Francisco, California San Ramon, California Description The Opportunity As a summer intern you will be contributing to an array of supply chain projects that support the growth of our business. You will be an active member of the Supply Chain team and will work cross-functionally with Sourcing, Procurement, and Logistics. You will also partner cross-functionally with the team to develop tools and process improvement initiatives. Summer interns may be asked to help create documentation and presentations for certain projects and processes. Responsibilities * Support theProcurement Managerthroughout the duration to understand supplier management fundamentals * Assist Inventory Planning Manager with inventory management analysis * Collaborate with the Direct Sourcing Sr. Manager to gather market data and analysis * Obtain and analyze supply chain metrics * Work with Supply Chain Strategy on continuous improvement projects * Participate in an end-of-program project and present to Supply Chain leadership upon completion Supply Chain Summer Intern Positions The Supply Chain Team has 7 intern positions available for the summer of 2019. Positions will be based in San Francisco or San Ramon, with travel between the two offices as needed. Qualifications * Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelors degree, preferably in Supply Chain or related field * Excellent attention to details with strong organizational skills * Ability to multi-task with excellent follow-through and task completion * Strong oral and written communications skills and sense of humor * Strong team player, ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams * Creative problem solver with sense of curiosity; able to work independently to produce quality results * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook The Company Looking for a job?
