Cobbossee is an all boys, 4-week, 2-session sleepaway summer camp in Maine. The dates for this position run from June 9th to August 10th, 2024.

Camp Cobbossee serves 230 campers per session and employs 150 staff, 45 of which are female. A student nurse will work closely with our five RNs, including our Head Nurse, and two other student nurses to ensure a safe experience for  campers and staff by providing professional health care.

This is an excellent learning opportunity for students interested in pediatrics or family medicine. You will work amongst a diverse domestic and international staff and meet other adventurous young folk whilst gaining professional experience in a safe and engaging campus environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist RNs with treating campers and staff
• Support during daily routine sick call and administration of OTC medications
• Schedule appointments and work at the front desk check-in
• Review, update, maintain, and file medical records paper and online.
• Accompany campers to off-site appointments as needed (clean driving license necessary)
• Communicate with leadership, residential life and counselors as needed
• Restock exam rooms with necessary medical equipment and supplies
• Communicate effectively with campers parents through emails and phone calls
• Have fun with the campers and other staff on our beautiful Maine Campus!

Dates & Compensation

• June 11th, 2023 - August 12th, 2023
• $3,000 + $300 bonus at completion of the summer
• We provide a travel allowance to cover the cost of coming to work for us in Maine!
• Compensation includes salary, room, bed and board.
