GreatChina International Education is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented summer intern to lead and develop workshops for the 2017 Roaring Scholars Summer Camp.

The summer intern will work closely with camp directors and managers to ensure a meaningful experience for all attending students.

Preferred candidates are those who have prior teaching or tutoring experience and are interested in international education, mentoring and helping students to achieve their higher education goals. Intern may also be eligible for a 5-day excursion to the Great Wall and the Terra Cotta Warriors of Xi'an during the internship. Knowledge of Mandarin is not necessary.

Internship Details:

• Duration: Late May / Early June to Mid August

• Location: Guangzhou, China & Chengdu, China

Responsibilities include:

• Lead workshops and develop lesson plans and materials
• Working with students to understand and prepare for US college applications
• Mentoring camp attendees to develop personal and academic goals
• Additional project dependent on candidate's strengths and experiences

• Must be currently enrolled in a degree-granting program or a recent graduate

• Prior experience in or knowledge of the US college application process

• Strong sense of ethics, excellent planning, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

• Strong analytical, organizational, communication and writing skills
