  • Responsibilities

    TechKnowHow, a leader in tech summer camps, is looking for lead and assistant instructors to guide students in weekly LEGO, Minecraft or Coding camps in the SF Bay Area this Summer.  We’ll train you on how to teach the curriculum, lead team-building activities, and manage the kids. If you enjoy both tech and kids, this position is perfect for you and will likely lead to a special and rewarding experience.  Each camp has 2 teachers, and up to 18 students.  You can focus on LEGO projects, Robotics, Minecraft, Roblox or Coding, or some desired combination.  Most campers are ages 6-10.

    We DO NOT provide housing. If you are out of state, you must have housing finalized already for the San Francisco Bay Area.

    We are seeking Lead and Assistant Instructors. 

    General hours are 8-4, or 9-5, Monday-Friday.

    Camps begin June 10 and ends August 9.  We are looking for instructors who can work at least 4 weeks during the summer.

    We provide training which covers the projects and classroom management skills.

    Available locations to work include these areas: San Francisco, Burlingame, Palo Alto, Cupertino, San Jose, Fremont and Oakland

    TechKnowHow has been teaching tech to students for 30 years!  Most of our summer instructors reported receiving internships or jobs at tech-related companies while in or after graduating college with firms including Google, Palo Alto Networks, Intuitive Surgical Robotics, as well as teaching positions at schools.

  • Qualifications
    • Experience working with kids is required, ideally with a group of kids. Preference for those who enjoy LEGOs, or have experience in Scratch, Minecraft and/or Robotics.
  • Desired skills
    • Ability to follow instructions, manage kids, communicate well with parents and coworkers, be professional and responsible and work as a team. Our curriculum is already written and will need to be taught in the classroom. We will train in you in classroom management.
