Job Type Full-time Campus Syracuse, NY Unionized Position Code Not Applicable Job Description The Administrative Assistant II reports to and supports the Chief Diversity Officer in operational and administrative details and performs administrative functions that adhere to University policies and procedures. The Administrative Assistant II manages the daily activities of the Chief Diversity Officer and the Office and is the first point of contact to University and external constituents. Qualifications Bachelors degree preferred. Associates degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. 3 years experience in an office environment preferred. Job Specific Qualifications Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, some Excel, some PowerPoint, Outlook calendaring) and Adobe Professional suite with the ability to create and revise documents. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-pace professional environment. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information. Responsibilities Provide administrative assistance and task coordination to various office professionals within the Chief Diversity Office. Perform duties relating to accounting, paperwork processing and communications requiring some independent judgment and a high degree of confidentiality. Analyze and organize office operations May perform routine financial and statistical projections. Prepare reports including conclusions and recommendations for solution of administrative problems. Gain knowledge of University policies and procedures and apply that knowledge to ensure seamless office support.
