    POSITION:

    We are currently seeking a full-time entry level Civil Engineering Technician for our Rhinelander, WI office with the capability to provide outstanding client service in the field and efficient detail work in the office. This position will be involved in topographic survey, construction staking, design, CAD drafting, and construction oversight for a variety of municipal projects including municipal water, sewer, drainage and road infrastructure projects.  This is the perfect position for someone who enjoys the variety of working both in the office and in the field.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Construction inspection on a variety of municipal projects
    • Accurately design municipal engineering projects in Auto CAD
    • Create plan and profile sheets
    • Gather information for survey, topographical mapping, cross-section, horizontal and vertical control, and utility locations to be used in preparation of plans and specifications
    • Computations, reduction of field notes, filing and retrieving prints, and running prints
    • Construction Staking

    Required Skills Required Experience

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    • Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related degree by May 2020 required
    • 0-3 years of experience including design, construction inspection, and testing of transportation, municipal sewer, and water projects is preferred
    • Individuals with additional experience are encourage to apply
    • A valid driver’s license is required
    • 2.75 GPA minimum required
    • Prior experience with Civil 3D preferred
    • Detail oriented and ability to multi task
    • Successfully passed FE exam preferred

    • Manage and coordinate the daily activities of the test operations (Flight Test, Engineering Test Operations, Instrumentation and Experimental Hangar) associated with all engineering projects.
    • Coordinate with engineering personnel to ensure programs proceed according to schedule, scope and budget.
    • Coordinate test operation services for Production and Customer Services
    • Develop work breakdown structures.
    • Develop and maintain program schedules and budgets.
    • Interview, train and evaluate employees.
    • Perform other related duties as required as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
    • Responsibilities include supervision, training and assisting employees.
