  • Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Associate Director of Research Development within Boston University's Office of Research, the Training Grant Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the development of BU's institutional training grant proposals (e.g., NIH T32s, NSF NRTs). The Specialist will coordinate all aspects of complex training grant preparation, including timeline management, data collection, data table creation, and internal review coordination. The Specialist will also serve as a key liaison between the Charles River Campus and Boston University Medical Campus (BUMC), aligning efforts and developing shared resources for training grant proposal development.

    Required Skills

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree.
    • Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
    • 3-5 years' experience in research development, research administration, or a related role.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Desired Qualifications.
    • Prior experience with training grants, large institutional proposals, and/or institutional data collection.
    • Ability to read and interpret funding opportunity announcements and distill key requirements.
    • Ability to balance multiple simultaneous proposals in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to high-quality results.
