    Job Description

    The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for on-call/temporary Dining Room Attendants at Rohr’s in our campus Hospitality department. The UOES Division oversees the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions, while also supporting student life, academic initiatives, research activities, and annual milestone celebrations.

    Dining Room Attendant

    As a Dining Room Attendant at the Morris Inn, you will be an essential part of our dining team, assisting servers to ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service. We are seeking dedicated individuals who can work early morning shifts and join our breakfast/brunch team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Replenish water and condiments for guests.
    • Carry trays to assist with service.
    • Clear any used or unwanted items from tables.
    • Clear tables of dishes, glassware, and silverware.
    • Stack dishes as instructed for efficient transport.
    • Safely transport soiled items to the dishwashing area for cleaning.
    • Adhere to all established Morris Inn recycling practices.
    • Exercise caution and care when handling china, glassware, and silverware to prevent breakage.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision
    • Positive, respectful, excellent communication and listening skills
    • Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time)
    • Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products

    Additional Information

    Pay Rate: $8.78/hr + tips
