    Job Description

    The University of Notre Dame is seeking multiple IEP Counselors to support students participating in a summer on campus program. This is a temporary, seasonal summer position for current Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s College students who are interested in student engagement, leadership, and residential life experience.

    IEP Counselors play a vital role in creating a safe, structured, and engaging residential environment while supporting students academically and socially throughout the program.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain program rules and expectations within the residence halls
    • Supervise and support students living in campus dormitories
    • Assist students in the Learning Center during scheduled academic support times
    • Plan, organize, and lead structured activities during students’ free time
    • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful community environment
    • Serve as a role model and point of contact for program participants

    • Current student at the University of Notre Dame or Saint Mary’s College
    • Ability to commit to the full 4 week program and reside on campus
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
    • Responsible, dependable, and comfortable working with students in a residential setting

    Additional Information

    Position Details:

    • Program Length: 4 weeks total, consisting of two consecutive 2 week sessions
    • Employment Type: Temporary / Seasonal (Summer)
    • Dates: June 27 – July 25, 2026
    • Work Schedule: Variable hours, approximately 25 - 40 hours per week
    • Compensation: $20 per hour
    • Housing: Room and board provided
    • Residency Requirement: Required to live on campus in student residence halls for the entire program duration
