    This role will serve the University of Notre Dame Women’s and Men’s Basketball teams. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ability to provide consultation and education to student-athletes on a myriad of health and performance topics; Collaborate regularly with support staff and coaches to provide the best care; Oversee the basketball fueling station including ordering, budget management, staffing, scheduling, and management. Additionally, this role will be responsible for menu writing for practices and competitions as needed.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Execute all nutrition care to assigned teams
    • Consultation with student-athletes to aid health and performance regarding a variety of topics
    • Education of student-athletes through various avenues including team talks, handouts, workshops, etc. on a variety of topics
    • Menu recommendations for competitions and practice

    Key Responsibilities

    • Performance team meeting attendance
    • Supplement review in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations
    • Oversight of Rolf’s fueling station ****

    Collaboration

    • Collaboration with sports performance team including strength and conditioning, psychology, sports medicine, and data analytics
    • Collaboration with Director of Operations
    • Education of staff as it supports student athlete health and performance ****

    Secondary Responsibilities

    • Monitoring sports performance data
    • DXA testing
    • Monitoring labs as it relates to health and performance
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or completion of DPD credits
    • Registered Dietitian
    • Experience working within sports nutrition (collegiate or professional)
    • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, specifically in regards to supplements
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Powerpoint and Google Sheets and Drive
    • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent record keeping and documentation skills
    • Driven and takes initiative to improve systems and processes
    • Dedicated to professionalism and leading by example
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to kneel, crouch, lift, carry and move inventory up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to work in person, non-standard work hours or work week, which may include early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
    • Ability to start June 2026 and work through April 2027, with potential for subsequent year rehire pending performance

    Additional Information

    Hourly Rate: $30.00/hour (max of 900 hours for 12 months)
