Required Education and Experience: * High School Diploma or any equivalent combination of education and experience. * One year of mail service experience; familiarity with mail routes, bulk mail, and meter room procedures, including operation of postage computer. Required Knowledge and Skills: * Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Required Licenses, Certifications and Registrations: * Valid driver license and good driving record. Must be able to obtain State of Texas class "C" vehicle driver license within 30 days of employment. Other Requirements: * Ability to lift heavy loads. Preferred Education and Experience: * One to two years of college coursework. * TAMU Mail Service experience. Responsibilities: * Assists with collecting, sorting, preparing office products, parcels, mail, inter-campus mail, and some custodial products to campus customers. * Assists in rating, metering, and caging of mail * Assists with distributing office products, parcels, mail, inter-campus mail, and some custodial products to campus customers. * Participates in special mail pick-ups and deliveries. Accounts for special mail. Advises of special pick-ups or deliveries. * Trains Students Workers as needed. * Loads mail in delivery sequence. Arranges and bags mail by department into delivery sequence for route. * Ensures that vehicle is properly maintained. Performs related duties as required.
