Events Coordinator II A&M System Member : Tarleton State University Department : Stu Affairs Facilities & Special Events Job Category : Other or Not Specified Job Type : Staff Location : Stephenville Proposed Minimum Salary : $2,517.67 monthly Job Requisition Number : R-009242 Security Sensitive? : Yes Job Title Events Coordinator II Agency Tarleton State University Department Stu Affairs Facilities & Special Events Proposed Minimum Salary $2,517.67 monthly Job Location Stephenville, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description The Events Coordinator II, under general supervision, provides central coordination of events and conferences, to include pre- and post-event liaison with clients.; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate; Serve as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) Responsibilities: 50% Responsible for coordinating large events and conferences in the Thompson Student Center, including space requests, contract negotiation, and service requirements and deliveries. Serves as an on-site customer liaison during events, coordinates post event reviews and follow up contact, makes recommendations for policy and procedure implementation and completes all billing and rental invoices. 20% Responsible for coordinating all Summer Camps for the university. Works with Summer Camp Directors to work through camp needs and dates. Examples include but not limited to food service, IT, Risk Management, Room Reservations, Housing, Police and Parking, and Texan Card. Works with Housing Staff to provide training for staff that are new to summer camps and the practices and procedures that are in place. This person will process all Summer Camp Charges and work with Business Services. 15% Provides support to departments within the Division of Student Affairs and other divisions as requested for planning and implementing large scale events. Example: Texan Debate and Tarleton Town Hall 10% Maintains the centralized events calendar for the Thompson Student Center. 5% Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years of related experience in event planning and marketing including related supervisory experience. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Strong organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. All positions are security-sensitive.
