Description of Job Duties Typical: 1. Provides painter skills to include erecting or rigging scaffolds; scrapes, sandpapers, primes or seals surfaces prior to painting; mixes, matches, and applies paint, varnishes, shellacs, enamels, and other finishes; and covers surfaces and furniture to protect against paint. 2. Checks condition of woodwork; removes spattered paint upon job completion; and cleans, cares for brushes, spray guns, and other equipment. 3. Performs other duties as assigned. Periodic: 1.
