    930 taleo_direct_1.9 18001316 Part-time Simulation Support Specialist San Antonio New Patient Care School of Nursing 18001316 Requisition # 930 Job Summary: Develop course setups and scenarios with faculty, create a simulated environment to reflect a healthcare setting from home care to acute care, and work with mid to high fidelity simulators to create realistic diseases, injury or surgical wounds and situations. Assist in developing simulations with staff and faculty. Manage setups and records for multiple undergraduate courses. Manage complex inventory of healthcare models, manikins, equipment, and supplies. Monitor inventory for disposable supplies and pharmacy supplies. Coordinate supply orders and assess course needs each semester. Provide faculty and student instruction on use of simulators, equipment and other technology. Train and guide the work of students and supervise as appropriate. Job Duties: 1. Implement course setups and scenarios with faculty, providing a simulated environment to reflect healthcare settings from home care to acute care, and work with mid to high fidelity simulators delivering realistic diseases, injuries, or surgical wounds and situations. 2. Assist in developing simulations with staff and faculty. Manage setups and records for multiple undergraduate courses. Conduct and lead student simulation experiences including debriefings using the prescribed debrief protocol that has been approved by the course specific faculty team members who are responsible for the delivery of the course curriculum. 3. Clean the learning environment and equipment. 4. Guide and supervise the academic work of students. Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing. Registered Nurse License is required. Experience: Two (2) years of experience performing various nursing procedures and using medical equipment is required. Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree. This position is grant funded.
