Accounting Intern Tierney Brothers, Inc. - Saint Paul, MN 55108 Part-time, Temporary, Internship Summary This temporary internship position works in the Accounting Department of Tierney and is responsible for assisting with general Accounting duties. This is a part-time position starting in August and ending in December with hours required after 12:00pm daily. Essential Functions Accounting * Gather banking information to prepare daily cash Journal Entries * Prepare and validate month end close schedules and analysis * Perform account reconciliations * Assist with billing invoices to customers * Research/apply/refund unapplied payments * Contact customers for overdue payments due to Tierney * Assist with entry of vendor invoices * Assist in fixed asset management and depreciation tracking * Verify tax exemption certificates and customer contact information in NetSuite * Create and update process flow documentations Other duties as assigned Competencies * Communication. * Accounting knowledge. * Reasoning Ability. * Computer Skills. * Organizational Skills. Required Education & Experience * High School Diploma or GED; * Pursuing a degree in Accounting; * NetSuite and accounting experience, preferred.
