    OMNNI / WESTWOOD PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, INC. is seeking an immediate full-time Architectural Drafter with a high level of technical ability, an eye for detail and a passion for the built environment, to join our Appleton, WI office. The ideal candidate should be creative, should have the desire to take initiative, and should have the ability to multi-task between different projects.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    • May include, but is not limited to, generating new and existing conditions building models, design reviews, 3D visualization, 3D control planning, digital fabrication, and record modeling.
    • Creation of drawings as project deliverables, including annotation and dimensioning, with a high degree of independence.
    • Create 2D design control models to create a seamless integration that flows from procurement, to design, thru construction, and project close out that increases efficiencies and productivity with input from the architects and engineers.
    • Examine deliverables for accuracy and conformance with BIM standards and develop CADD design/drafting standards.
    • Candidate will be responsible for working closely with other engineering, design, estimating, and construction team members to coordinate overall design package and requirements.
    • Provide CADD/Designer support for proposals, estimating, procurement, construction and design change scoping packages in support of the architectural process by generating design content with a focus on value and design optimizations.
    • At the direction of the Lead Architect or Project Engineer, develop and issue design packages for review and construction, provide technical drafting support in the creation of construction drawing sets, compile engineering data from drawings or field notes, perform arithmetic computations using specified formulas, provide direction and guidance to other drafters and designers, ensure design schedules are met including regularly providing project status updates.
    • Candidate will be responsible for performing a broad scope of Designer assignments of moderate difficulty and CADD assignments of high difficulty and ability to create drawings as project deliverables, including annotation and dimensioning, with a high degree of independence.
    • Ensure data quality assurance and maintain a variety of related records, databases & reports.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Bachelor or Associate degree in a discipline relating to Architecture is preferred.

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience.

    • Proficiency with REVIT and AutoCAD. Knowledge of Lumion is a plus.

    • Proficiency with other 3D modeling packages and plugins a plus.

    • Knowledge of building construction and technology, including structure.

    • Strong knowledge of architectural design, drawing set production, and 3D coordination.

    • Ability to learn and take direction.

    • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

    • Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills and strong attention to detail with a high quality professional level final work product 

    • Speed and consistency are important

    • Self-Starter with the ability to follow through, work independently and within a team

    • Vigor and desire to learn new processes and technologies

    • Exceptional ability to analyze and understand results

    • Maintain high level of competency of software function through continued use and training
