    POSITION TITLE: Head Baseball Coach POSITION #: 200390 POSITION STATUS: Exempt FLSA STATUS: Exempt REPORTS TO: Athletic Director SUPERVISES: Assistant Baseball Coach CAMPUS: Trinidad POSITION DESCRIPTION: Trinidad State Junior College seeks a Head Baseball Coach to develop, promote and implement all activities of the baseball program, including planning, organizing, recruiting and coaching of TSJC baseball team. The coach should instill the idea of academic excellence and team discipline in the student-athletes. The coach will also ensure compliance with College and NJCAA procedures and regulations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Serve as head mens baseball coach Recruit student athletes from local, Colorado and regional high schools Plan a game schedule and implement it while maintaining an adherence to the program budget Work with the City of Trinidad on the maintenance and care of the facility and grounds of Central Park Monitor academic progress of student athletes making sure they are on path to succeed in classes and are on track to graduate Aid and assist the institution in any aspect of NJCAA compliance for the Baseball program Develop a working relationship with the other entities that share the Central Park facilities Be a team player on campus and with the rest of the athletic department staff Fundraise to help fund the program and department Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics Position Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent experience. A minimum of two (2) years professional work experience at the postsecondary or secondary level. Experience as a baseball coach at the postsecondary or secondary level. Must hold or qualify for and obtain a Colorado Commercial Drivers license. Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree Successful baseball coaching experience at the postsecondary level. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate must submit to and successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment background check as a condition of hire. SALARY: Annual salary is $35,000-$40,000 based on a full-time, 12-month contract and candidates qualifications and experience.
