month position (August through May) Summary: The Collaborative for
Learning and Teaching is seeking a Post-Baccalaureate Fellow for the
2018-19 academic year. In this position, the Fellow will direct Tigers
as Partners and other relevant student-faculty partnership activities
and research within the center. The Fellow will also contribute to the
Collaboratives initiatives in marketing and outreach, and will assist in
the day-to-day administration of the Collaboratives programming. This is
a salaried 10-month position that may require extended hours and
occasional travel to accomplish the goals and objectives of the center.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Direct Tigers as Partners, a
student-faculty partnership program - Hire additional student partners
as needed - Lead outreach to faculty (with the support of the Director &
Assistant Director) - Lead orientation at the beginning of each semester
- Organize logistics, scheduling, and partnering of students and faculty
- Track program data and collect mid- and end-of-semester feedback from
participants - Facilitate weekly student meetings and semesterly faculty
check-ins - Supervise student worker time entry and pay - Oversee
Thank-a-Professor - Send out call through Academic Affairs - Create
forms and lead edits (for typos / clarity) of submissions - Work w/
Office Manager to print and mail - Facilitate opportunities to
incorporate student perspectives and relevant participation in the
Collaboratives programs and communications - Facilitate the programming,
operation, and marketing of ¡Hola, San Antonio!, a new program that
encourages community exploration and learning for Trinity undergraduates
through cultural offerings and field-trips - Lead one research project
as it relates to the Fellows interests and the work of TaP and/or the
Collaborative - Attend and/or present at relevant conferences (POD,
ISSoTL, AAC&U, for example) - Facilitate student panel portion of New
Faculty Orientation - Support the staff of the Collaborative in
marketing and other work as needed, including the monthly Newsletter and
social media - Cooperate and collaborate with other employees in the
spirit of teamwork and collegiality. - Comply with all of Trinity
University policies and guidelines. Experience Required: Experience
participating in Tigers as Partners, Collaborative programming, or a
demonstrated interest in higher education; strong organizational skills
and attention to detail; ability to work effectively with faculty,
staff, and students; demonstrated ability to work independently and to
collaborate well on teams and take direction; excellent communication
(verbal and written) and diplomacy skills; empathy and ability to
connect with others across difference of perspective and background.
