Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for researching & processing customer disputes, settling customer account documents to keep the account reconciled and maintained, communicating proactively with customers to ensure timely payment and dispute resolution, and working collaboratively with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure that department deadlines and goals are met.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned.
General responsibility for the accounts receivable and business to business credit/collection functions.
Assign and review the work of the accounts receivable and collection department.
Responsible for the administration and implementation and management of policies, procedures and systems related to the function of the department.
Oversee the collection call process.
Oversee and perform reconciliation of accounts.
Performs and oversees the timely research and resolution of short pays and deductions.
Prepares periodic and special reports concerning departmental activities, problems, quality system, schedules, and returned and warranty items.
Presents the aging to management and executive staff.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree and five+ years’ experience in a supervisory role in Accounting or equivalent education and /or experience. Must have a thorough knowledge of general accounting including thorough skills knowledge plus the application of general accounting theory.
SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required and individuals must be able to maintain confidential information.
