The COLUMBUS Campus of Georgia Military College is now accepting applications for the position of ENROLLMENT OFFICER. GMC's COLUMBUS Campus operates on the quarter system offering 5 accelerated terms each year. The Enrollment Officer position functions as an active participant in GMC’s recruitment, admissions, and retention operations.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Serve as the primary contact for prospective students.
- Schedule and conduct weekly campus interviews and tours.
- Maintain an active prospect funnel and collect data pertinent to the prospective student database.
- Ensure timely review of student applicant files, transcripts and admissions documents.
- Consistently conduct follow-up meetings, monthly minimum, with all applicants to ensure successful matriculation.
- Participate in appropriate recruitment and enrollment activities including (but not limited to) open houses, new student orientations, probe and college fairs, etc.
- Maintain an active and aggressive schedule of recruiting events and visitations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of effective recruitment strategies.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of advertising and recruiting materials.
- Connect and collaborate with local high schools and colleges to foster relationships and recruiting opportunities for GMC COLUMBUS.
- Connect and collaborate with community leaders and business owners to foster relationships and recruiting opportunities for GMC COLUMBUS.
- Updates social Media; FaceBook, Twitter, etc.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally on an extensive basis; must possess the ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Must be able to work in a team oriented, objective-focused environment.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
- Must be flexible to adapt to a changing and dynamic environment.
- One year or more of experience in sales, marketing or recruiting position, preferably in higher education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two or more years of experience in college/university admissions or recruiting position.
