You like a bit of variety in your day and can easily pivot from providing customer service to working on a task that requires attention to detail. When you have a bit of down-time, you like to spend it learning a new skill or helping out with a special project.     HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DO:

     

    Support Bryan University’s mission through a variety of administrative activities related to maintaining student records and assisting with student requests.

    More specifically, you’ll:

     

    • Manage telephone line and email account for the registrar department in order to assist students with general questions as well as more specific requests relating to changing their shift or schedule, and obtaining transcripts.
    • Accurately and succinctly speak to a wide variety of topics across functions, including calendars and dates, grades, registration, enrollment, transfer credits, program modifications, program evaluation, graduation, etc.
    • Maintain active and inactive student files and ensure all student transactions are documented in the University’s student information system.
    • Process all incoming student documents, including but not limited to official transcripts, in-school deferment forms, enrollment and degree verification requests, as well as other verification requests
    • Data Entry (i.e., change of address and contact information, FERPA consent information, attendance, etc.)
    • Assist with processing diploma orders, shipping and tracking
    • Post daily attendance as directed
    • Maintain inventory of general office supplies; replenish and order as necessary

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • 1 - 2 years experience administrative experience, preferably in a higher ed environment
    • Associates Degree or higher
    • Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs simultaneously including MS Office programs, contact management database systems, Gmail, Zoom, etc.

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    1. HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE OR EQUIVALENT.
    2. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN EQUIVALENT POSITION, PREFERABLY IN A HOSPITAL OR HEALTH CARE SETTING REQUIRED.
    3. MEDICAL OFFICE, TRANSCRIPTION, OFFICE (BUSINESS) TECHNOLOGY OR RELATED PROGRAM PREFERRED.
    4. KNOWLEDGE OF HEALTH CARE ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH INSURANCE, MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY, ICD-9 CODES AS WELL AS WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF CLINICAL SERVICES; LABORATORY, RADIOLOGY AND CARDIOPULMONARY.
    5. EXCELLENT INTERPERSONAL SKILLS/ABILITY TO WORK WELL WITH PEOPLE PROJECTING A POSITIVE IMAGE FOR THE HOSPITAL.
    6. EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION, ORGANIZATIONAL AND DETAIL SKILLS.
    7. ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY AND PRIORITIZE WORK.
    8. DEMONSTRATED PROFICIENCY IN TYPING, TEN KEY, DATA ENTRY AND PC KNOWLEDGE.
    9. ABILITY TO REMAIN CALM AND FUNCTION WELL IN STRESSFUL SITUATIONS.
