    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

     

    Reporting to the Assembly Manager, the Assembler performs manual labor along a production assembly line and is responsible for the following:

     

    • Operates with standard operating procedures and job safety analysis
    • Prepares and assembles Seakeeper sphere sub-assemblies utilizing build stands, overhead hoists, and various hand and power tools
    • Assembles and/or tests parts and/or components efficiently within allowed time standard
    • Responsible for quality control by making adjustments when necessary to produce product within specifications and rejecting and immediately reporting product outside test specifications 
    • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
    • Verifies component(s) by measuring and/or visually inspecting completed component(s)
    • Tracks daily production and job time keeping with electronic scanners where applicable
    • Communicates clearly with shift supervisors as well as assemblers on other shifts
    • Maintains a clean and safe working environment at all times by complying with procedures and policies
    • Maintains supply and tool inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; notifying supervisor for placing and expediting orders for supplies
    • Documents actions by completing standard production and quality forms
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

    Required Skills

    • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

    • Possess quality focus, sound judgement and decision making

    • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently

    Required Experience

    • One year or more of experience in manufacturing assembly with a strong mechanical and/or electrical background
