We are looking for an Area HR Generalist to join our team.

The Area Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for providing support and guidance to Unitek campuses by working closely with Managers, Employees and Corporate Human Resources to solve problems, mange employee relations, deploy all HR programs, policies and serve as the HR ambassador for assigned locations.   

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Consult with line management and provide regular HR guidance
• Understands employee concerns/issues and facilitates resolution through various HR activities
• Leads and conducts investigations while working in partnership with Corporate HR and various departments to bring employee concerns to conclusion
• Provide guidance/coaching to Managers in handling employee relations and assist with leadership development
• Identifying and implementing organizational effectiveness initiatives that enhance performance, productivity, and reduce cost while striving to maintain employee engagement
• Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
• Conduct all onboarding and offboarding of employees
• Ensures effective communication of HR products, services and programs (e.g., benefits, orientation, training and development initiatives, etc.)
• Identifies issues/ problems that are impacting each campus and works with internal partners in their resolution.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documents, files and records in both electronic format and hard copy in compliance with established guidelines
• Performing other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Human Resources Department

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS degree in Human Resources or related field
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the HR field with excellent employee relations knowledge    
• Knowledge of labor legislation
• Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices
• Highly organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently, within prescribed guidelines, or as a team member
