No Job Summary The candidate will work directly under the supervision of the PI, Dr. Maninjay Atianand, to study the role of RNA methylation in macrophage functions. The candidate will employ cell culture, RNA /protein extractions, Western blot, ELISA and quantitative PCR to phenotype various cell lines recently generated in the lab to contribute to ongoing research projects. The candidate is expected to work collaboratively with the other lab members, and is expected to present his/her work at the end of the internship. This temporary (internship) position is expected to be a great learning experience where the candidate will be exposed to the concepts of gene regulation, and various research techniques in immunology and RNA biology. Job Requirements High School Diploma and the ability to collaborate in a Research Lab environment.
