Open to External and Internal FLSA Salary Salary is commensurate based on qualifications and relevant experience Duration Funding expected to continue Pay Basis Monthly Benefits Eligible Yes Job Summary Implementation of a comprehensive program of prevention, recognition, evaluation, and immediate care of athletic injuries to UT Arlington student-athletes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This position will have primary coverage of either Cross Country, Track and Field, Baseball, Softball or Womens Basketball as well as additional opportunities for coverage as needed/assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer. Coverage of assigned athletic team practices/matches (home and away), and conditioning to prevent, assess and treat injuries. Injury assessment and therapeutic treatment and rehabilitation of orthopedic injuries. Communicate with team physicians, coaching staff, and administrative personnel about athletic injuries, illness, modifications, etc. Maintain accurate records of student athlete medical histories, injury reports, etc. Clinical Preceptor for athletic training education program, supervising athletic training students. Drug site coordinator. First aid, CPR and AED trained, able to properly assess and treat athletic injuries, able to communicate effectively with: coaching staff, administrative staff, parents, athletes, and team physicians, able to drive university vehicle. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in related field and two years of Athletic Training experience or the equivalent experience, state of Texas licensure (LAT), NATA-BOC certification (ATC).
