The successful applicant will hold a regular, benefited position at UAF and will work a 40-hour week for the academic year mid-August through mid-May, beginning January 2019. Required Experience: Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA approved program or terminal degree in a counseling related graduate program or Master's degree in a counseling related graduate program appropriate to work in a university counseling center. This advanced level of education and clinical experience is necessary for the counselor to make clinical decisions regarding student welfare in an independent manner. Applicant should be licensed in Alaska or be eligible for Alaska licensure within 2 years. Typical Education or Training: Typically, new employees in this position have a Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or Social Work (or equivalent degree) with an internship and two or more years of experience at the time of employment. New degree recipients with an internship are also considered for employment in this position.
