These 19 programs include more than 460 student-athletes who participate in the various sports programs annually within the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA). The mission of the Razorback Athletic Department is to assist in the development of student-athletes to their fullest potential through intercollegiate athletics. - Department Home Page - www.arkansasrazorbacks.com - Job Type - Hourly/Student - Summary of Job Duties - Under the direction of the Director of Sports Nutrition, the Sports Nutrition Intern will assist in the day-to-day programming and execution of the University of Arkansas Sport Nutrition Department. The Sports Nutrition Intern position will be a one year paid position with the possibility of a second year contingent on both parties approval. Primary Responsibilities: - Oversee the nutritional needs of assigned teams Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: - Conducting individual and team nutrition education and counseling - Coordinating pre and post-training nutrition - Assisting with competition and travel nutrition - Serving as a nutrition and food resource for sport coaches - Manage the Red Card Program which includes reviewing all returned receipts, composing weekly reports summarizing individual restaurant and team usage, and overseeing the RedCard appointed intern - Overall support of the Sports Nutrition Program - Develop and design education materials as needed - Conduct team presentations, cooking classes, grocery store tours and dorm cafeteria tours - Work with Director of Sports Nutrition and Chartwells Staff to deliver and monitor Nutrition Center Services - Provide education and mentorship of sports nutrition to undergraduate nutrition employees - Minimum Qualifications: Please ensure that all relevant application materials include details addressing the minimum qualifications.
