The multicultural, multidisciplinary staff includes an office manager and three other administrative professionals, eleven full-time clinicians, two case managers, the assistant director/training director, the associate director for clinical services, the director, two psychiatrists, a nurse, two full-time Health Service Psychology interns, and typically 8-10 half-time graduate trainees. CAPS is in the early stages of developing a Doctoral Internship in Health Psychology. CAPS has submitted an application for APPIC membership and are awaiting a response. CAPS is a department of the Pat Walker Health Center. The Mental Health Clinician Embedded in University Housing would work closely with the area of Residence Education to provide services and outreach to the on-campus students. University Housing has 18 various campus communities including traditional residence halls, suite-style halls, and apartments for the 5,600 students that live on-campus. The Residence Education team is approximately 20 professional staff and over 200 student staff. Residence Education offers a variety of activities and programs designed to enhance the academic achievement of our students in diverse communities. - Department Home Page - http://health.uark.edu/departments/counseling-psychological-services.php - Job Type - Staff - Summary of Job Duties - The Mental Health Clinician will provide direct clinical services to students living in residence halls with an emphasis on individual and group counseling or workshops, emergency mental health services, triage, and outreach focused prevention efforts. The clinician will also provide supervision for clinical interns who are housed in the residence hall communities across campus. Indirect clinical services will include administrative consultations internal to Housing and CAPS, staff meetings, clinical disposition activities, clinical documentation, outreach meetings, and other assigned duties. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. - Minimum Qualifications: Please ensure that all relevant application materials include details addressing the minimum qualifications.
