Once a summary page appears, hover your mouse over the orange Action button for a list of possible approval step options Position Information Posting Number A1052018 Department Name Upward Bound Position Summary Resides in residence hall to provide continual supervision of students and residential staff; promotes project goals to Upward Bound participants during the Summer Academy; supervises all residential hall activities (as performed by staff) such as participant check-ins, enforcing hall policies, conducting room inspections for cleanliness, etc.; chaperones participants during educational or cultural events and field trips; coordinates all project residence hall activities with UCAs Housing Conference Coordinator and UB Coordinator; participates in all in-service training and staff meetings; schedules night supervision duty for RAs; serves as Bridge Advisor to college students participating in the Bridge component; and, submits records to the Coordinator summarizing participant contacts and activities. May 31st through July 12, 2019 Job Duties and Responsibilities Required Education and/or Experience Bachelors degree preferred; minimum 3 years experience working with and supervising young adults in a residential program and experience in supervising residential hall staff desirable; must exhibit an understanding, interest, and ability to relate to at-risk, disadvantaged youth; must exhibit maturity, responsibility, and excellent skills in decision-making, problem-solving, mediating, and conflict management; and, background similar to target population preferred.
