Preferred Qualifications The research coordinator will demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail. Bachelor of science/bachelor of arts degree in psychology, human development, sociology, or related field. Education and/or experience in child development/developmental psychology. At least one year experience working in a social science research lab utilizing observational and survey measures. Strong organization and planning skills. Fluency in Spanish is required. Position Summary The research coordinator will be involved in several different projects in the lab. For the Fathering Pilot Study, the research assistant will manage the recruitment and enrollment of participants under the direction of the doctoral candidate in the lab. S/he will coordinate the work of undergraduate research assistants who will be assisting with recruitment and enrollment. S/he will participate in training on coding protocols and demonstrate a high level of reliability in the implementation of coding. S/he will conduct other data management tasks as needed under the direction of the doctoral candidate in the lab. For the Middle School Project s/he will code video recorded parent-child interaction tasks for a sample of Latino parents and their 10-12 year old child. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies The research coordinator will demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail.
