GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: In this role you will be assisting our QC Chemistry group with sampling and testing of raw materials, in process materials, and finished drug products. You will gain experience working in a GMP regulated environment and will learn how Quality Control testing contributes to the overall quality system regulated by the FDA to ensure safe and effective vaccines and biological productions. ? Please visit our website for more information: ? www.Massbiologics.org Responsibilities MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Raw material receiving, inspection, and release Conduct regular laboratory housekeeping duties such as cleaning glassware, hoods and incubators, and maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies. Assist with lab administrative tasks such as data entry and archiving documents. Prepare reagents and buffers Sample collection, sample preparation, conducting testing according to SOPs, collecting and analyzing data, documenting results on in-process assay forms and/or LIMS system ? You may obtain hands on training with techniques that are widely used in biopharmaceutical industry, such as: TOC, FTIR, AA, spectrophotmetry, HPLC, etc. cGMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practices) Data analysis and trending Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in progress or Technical Training certificate or Associates degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or related discipline. Knowledge of analytical instrumentation is preferred. Hands on experience in a biology or chemistry laboratory. Ability to calculate molar solutions, use a micropipette, and to use aseptic technique in a sterile lab environment Ability to be responsible for conducting routine laboratory tasks that are critical to successful department operation. Excellent written documentation and laboratory organizing skills. Ability to follow oral and written procedures precisely.
