Research Assistant (TEMP) Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center (MADC) Job Summary The Michigan Alzheimers Disease Center (MADC) is seeking a temporary Research Assistant to join its Data Core research team. Work hours are somewhat flexible, approximately 30-40 hrs/week. Location is at the Michigan Alzheimers Disease Center, 2101 Commonwealth Blvd, Suite D, Ann Arbor, MI, where there is free staff parking. We are seeking an experienced, positive, highly motivated, organized, autonomous person with excellent multi-tasking ability and data entry skills to work with the Data Manager to accurately and efficiently carry out a range of tasks associated with a variety of research studies. The characteristic duties and responsibilities of this position may evolve over time to match changing needs and priorities. Responsibilities* * Work closely with Data Manager and enter data forms into REDCap databases * Work closely with data base specialist to ensure data quality and compliance with the National Alzheimers Coordinating Center * Compile participant names for PIs requesting data * Verify and ensure all documentation is completed accurately * Prepare participant charts for research studies * Make copies of data packets, flyers, etc * As needed, assist in transporting research participants to and from the MADC to the fMRI lab on north campus in UM leased vehicle; monitor fMRI sequence completion/record timing in control room * Other administrative tasks as assigned Required Qualifications* * Experience with scheduling calendar, data entry, and creating databases * Valid drivers license * Computer proficiency (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and EndNote * Confident and highly motivated with excellent multi-tasking ability and record-keeping skills * Outstanding organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail * Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Ability to work with diverse teams of people in a diplomatic, collaborative and effective manner * Ability to problem-solve and establish timelines and priorities Desired Qualifications* * Bachelors degree in social science or a health science discipline * 1-2 years experience entering data into electronic data platforms such as REDCap, MiChart U-M EEO/AA Statement The University of Michigan is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
