Patients medical diagnoses commonly include respiratory insufficiency or failure, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), hepatic failure, renal failure, sepsis, coma, hypertensive crisis, GI hemorrhage, endocrine/electrolyte imbalance and cancer/bone marrow transplant patients who are experiencing complications. Utilize the nursing process to provide primary care to critically ill medical patients/families who experience a wide variety of complex, multi-system health problems and to participate in health activities.
